Our Families

At Saucon Valley Elementary, we know that families play a huge role in a child’s education, and we’re here to make sure you have everything you need in one place.

Whether you’re looking for what’s on the menu, planning your child’s birthday, catching up on school policies, checking out supply lists to get ready for the year, wanting to become a volunteer or logging into PowerSchool to stay on top of grades, we’ve got you covered.

You can also access our new Family Engagement Page, which features numerous videos on topics to set your student up for success.

Preparing for the Start of School

  • Take your child to visit the school to see the building
  • Tell them stories from when you were a young student
  • Set bedtime and wakeup routines a few weeks before school starts
  • Get to the doctor to ensure your child has all the necessary shots to attend school

Did you know?

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually, good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college.

We've included a handout to help parents set good attendance habits and to warn when absences may become a problem.
